What Fabric Should I Choose?

Linen is spun from the flax plant, cultivated primarily in Western Europe. Revered for its strength, longevity, and breathability, linen is the quintessential fabric of casual refinement. Its loosely woven structure allows for superior airflow, making it comfortable in both warm and cool climates.

• Linen softens with every wash and never loses its integrity.
• It is naturally hypoallergenic and antibacterial.
• Wrinkles are to be celebrated— they are the mark of linen’s organic nature and are embraced in luxury interiors for their relaxed, effortless aesthetic.

You may notice lint in the first few washes— this is entirely normal and diminishes over time, revealing a fabric that becomes more supple and beautiful with age.

Linen speaks to those who appreciate subtle imperfection, texture, and timeless style.

Both percale and sateen are made from the highest-grade cotton, but their weaves— and resulting sensations— differ profoundly.

• Percale is woven in a one-over, one-under pattern, resulting in a matte finish and a crisp, structured hand. It is exceptionally breathable, making it the preferred weave for warmer climates or hot sleepers. Percale evokes the experience of freshly pressed hotel linens— tailored, cool, and elegant in its simplicity.

• Sateen, on the other hand, is woven with a four-over, one-under technique, giving it a subtle sheen and a silkier, more fluid drape. This weave feels smooth and buttery against the skin and tends to retain warmth slightly more than percale, making it ideal for those who enjoy a cocoon-like experience. Sateen bedding lends the bed a dressed, polished appearance with an indulgent softness.

Choose percale if you love structure, coolness, and a crisp feel.
Choose sateen if you prefer softness, a hint of luster, and gentle warmth.

Wood fiber bedding represents a modern evolution in luxury textiles— an innovative blend of sensuality and sustainability.

• This material offers the softness and drape of high-thread-count cotton sateen, yet remains naturally breathable and thermoregulating like linen.
• The sheets we represent are made from Italian beechwood, processed in a closed-loop, environmentally mindful system. Unlike bamboo, which can require chemically intensive processing, our wood fibers are produced with ecological integrity, often from reforested or sustainably harvested sources.

Wood fiber is ideal for those who want performance and pampering in equal measure— cool when you need it, warm when you don’t, and exquisitely smooth all year round.

Our online assortment is a curated selection, but through our long-standing relationships with purveyors, we often have access to additional colors and styles not shown— simply contact us, and we’ll be glad to assist with special requests.

Due to the artisanal nature of our linens, subtle variations in dye lots, textures, and finishes may occur between orders; these differences reflect the uniqueness of small-batch craftsmanship and are part of what makes each piece special.
