Yes. Linen Society is an authorized Matouk retailer and has carried Matouk luxury linens for nearly 30 years across our three retail locations in Portland, San Francisco, and West Hollywood, as well as online at linensociety.com. Every Matouk piece we sell is sourced directly from Matouk.

Linen Society carries Matouk bedding, bath linens, table linens, and gifts and accessories. Featured bedding collections include Lowell (600 thread count Egyptian cotton percale), Nocturne (600 thread count Egyptian cotton sateen), and Gabriel (a Schumacher geometric motif on Egyptian cotton percale, finished with a corded edge). Featured bath collections include Milagro (550-gram long-staple cotton with zero-twist yarns) and Aman (600-gram long-staple cotton). The table linen assortment includes the Aziza collection in 100% linen with sateen appliqué. Additional collections, colors, and custom sizes are available on request through our design services team.

Matouk is headquartered in Fall River, Massachusetts, where the company cuts, sews, and embroiders its linens. Fabrics are woven to Matouk's specifications abroad; Matouk describes its Nocturne sateen as 600 thread count Egyptian cotton from Italy. Not every collection is finished in Fall River, however: Matouk lists its Milagro and Aman bath towels as made in Portugal. A solar array installed at the Fall River facility in 2010 generates approximately 30 percent of the energy the site uses.

Matouk is a third-generation family-owned company. It was founded in 1929 by John Matouk, a Syrian-born textile importer trained in Italy, and is currently led by George Matouk Jr., who succeeded his father, George Sr. The company has remained family-owned and US-manufactured for nearly 100 years.

All four are luxury linen brands carried by Linen Society, and each has a distinct personality. Matouk is known for crisp American tailoring, refined embroidery, and a signature percale hand, with most finishing done in its Fall River, Massachusetts factory. Sferra emphasizes Italian-woven fabrics and a broader range of fiber types including linen, silk, and cashmere. Peacock Alley focuses on approachable, washable luxury bedding with an emphasis on cotton sateen. Frette is the most classically European of the four, favoring formal jacquards and hotel-grade finishing. Customers who prefer a tailored, embroidered American style tend to choose Matouk; those who prefer Italian fabric depth tend toward Sferra or Frette.

Matouk is displayed across all three Linen Society locations: French Quarter & Manor in Portland, Oregon; Scheuer Linens in San Francisco, California; and Grande Maison in West Hollywood, California. Each location carries a curated selection of Matouk bedding, bath, and table linens, and our in-store teams can show the full fabric and color range through swatch libraries even when a specific product is not in stock. Fabric samples can also be ordered online for shipment to your home.

Yes. Most Matouk bedding collections are available in custom sizes for non-standard beds including Euro King, Wyoming King, Texas King, Family King, and Alaska King, as well as fully bespoke dimensions. Monogramming and custom embroidery are available on select Matouk bedding, bath, and table linen pieces. Custom orders are individually priced and made to order; production times vary by specification. Lead times vary by Matouk collection and are listed on each collection page, so we recommend checking the shipping estimate on the specific piece you want. Many Matouk styles are made to order. Linen Society offers free standard ground shipping on qualifying US orders over $100, calculated before taxes and after discounts, with the exception of certain oversized or overweight items. Expedited shipping is available within the contiguous United States for an additional charge. International shipping is available on select orders; duties, tariffs, and customs charges are assessed by the destination country and carrier and billed directly to you.

Ready-made Matouk items that are not made to order, custom, or monogrammed may be returned or exchanged within 30 days of delivery if unused, unlaundered, free of odors or animal hair, and in original packaging. All returns require prior authorization and are subject to a 20% restocking fee; the customer is responsible for return shipping. Made-to-order, custom-sized, monogrammed, and special-order Matouk pieces are final sale and cannot be canceled, changed, or refunded after one business day from order placement. All three are Egyptian cotton bedding collections, and the choice comes down to weave and style. Lowell is a 600 thread count percale with a crisp, cool hand and a one-inch sateen detail; it is the best choice for customers who prefer hotel-style tailoring and a breathable summer-weight sheet. Nocturne is a 600 thread count sateen with a subtle tone-on-tone detail; it is smoother, slightly heavier, and has a soft luster, making it the choice for customers who prefer a silky finish. Gabriel prints a Schumacher geometric motif on Egyptian cotton percale and finishes it with a corded edge, making it the choice for customers who want a patterned statement piece rather than a solid. All three are available across standard and custom sizes and can be monogrammed.

Matouk bedding should be machine washed in warm water with a gentle detergent formulated for fine linens, such as Le Blanc Fine Linen Wash. Tumble dry on low. Matouk bath towels should be washed separately from bedding in warm water, tumble dried on low, and laundered without fabric softener, which coats the cotton fibers and reduces absorbency over time. Across all Matouk products, avoid bleach, optical brighteners, and high-heat drying, each of which can shorten the life of fine cotton.
