MADE TO MEASURE

Custom Size Bedding

Custom sheets, duvet covers and coverlets made to fit Wyoming King, Alaska King, extra-deep, antique and other non-standard beds, from the heritage linen houses we carry. Build Your Custom Bed

Not every bed comes in a catalog size. The Linen Society offers custom bedding made to your exact measurements: fitted sheets, flat sheets, duvet covers and coverlets, and from select makers, duvets, comforters and pillows. Each piece comes from the same houses behind our standard collections, including Sferra, Matouk, St. Geneve, Ann Gish and Home Treasures. Whether you sleep on an oversized Wyoming King, an extra-deep pillow-top, an antique three-quarter bed or a compact RV queen, we request the quote from the maker and look after your order from measurement to delivery.

Which beds need custom bedding

Standard luxury bedding is cut for Twin, Twin XL, Full, Queen, King and California King mattresses up to about 17 inches deep. Anything outside that range is where custom sizing comes in. These are the sizes we're asked about most. Dimensions are typical, so always measure your own mattress.

Custom fitted sheets

The piece we're asked for most. Most luxury fitted sheets are sewn with a 13.5 to 18 inch pocket, and a pillow-top with a topper can outgrow that quickly. Many of our makers will sew the pocket to your mattress depth and cut the width and length to your bed, whether it's larger or smaller than standard. St. Geneve can also make a king fitted sheet with a split at the head for adjustable bases.

Custom flat sheets

A flat sheet needs enough width to tuck on all sides. On oversized beds the sheet can end up wider than the fabric comes off the loom, so some makers, including Sferra, join panels with a seam. When that applies, we'll share where the seam falls with your quote. Home Treasures weaves most of its fabrics 120 inches wide, which allows wider flat sheets and deeper fitted sheets.

Custom duvet covers and coverlets

A duvet cover should match its insert, so measure the duvet rather than the mattress. For an oversized bed, a custom insert paired with a custom cover gives the best drape, and St. Geneve makes both. Ann Gish, Traditions Linens and Home Treasures also make duvet covers to custom sizes, and Ann Gish and Home Treasures make custom coverlets.

Custom duvets, comforters, pillows and mattress pads

  • St. Geneve: custom-size down duvets.
  • Matouk: custom-size comforters and mattress pads.
  • Scandia Home: bespoke comforters, pillows and featherbeds, hand-tailored in Wisconsin.
  • HEFEL: duvets, pillows and mattress toppers in almost any special size.
  • Signoria Firenze: tailor-made down duvets and pillows.

Custom sizing by purveyor

Each house has its own custom program, and not every piece in every collection can be made to measure. Look for the Request Custom Size button on eligible product pages, or contact us about any piece and we'll ask the maker.

Sferra

Sferra's bedding is made in Italy, and custom sizes are available on select pieces, including fitted sheets with custom pocket depths and oversized flat sheets. Very wide flat sheets may be joined with a seam, and seam placement is confirmed with your quote. Recent requests we've quoted include Wyoming King (84 x 84 in) fitted sheets. Custom Sferra typically takes 8 to 14 weeks, longer around the August and December factory closures. Custom orders are final sale.

St. Geneve

Custom sizing covers St. Geneve's bed linens (sheets, duvet covers, pillowcases, shams and bedskirts) as well as its down duvets, so an oversized insert and cover can be made as a pair. Fitted sheets come in 12, 15 or 17 inch pockets as standard; deeper pockets, split-top kings and sheets for older 78 inch wide kings are available by custom order. Custom orders are final sale.

Matouk

Made in Fall River, Massachusetts. Matouk makes custom sizes in most of its styles, with custom pocket depths, custom-size comforters (6 to 8 weeks) and custom mattress pads. For split kings, Twin XL fitted sheets are standard in Milano, Luca, Sierra and Positano. We've recently quoted a full Family King (120 x 80 in) set of duvet cover, flat sheet and fitted sheet. Custom orders are final sale.

Celso de Lemos

Custom sizes are available across Celso de Lemos bedding. Standard fitted sheets have a 16 inch pocket, or 18 inches on deep-pocket styles. Some configurations, such as split-top kings, may not be possible, and we'll confirm before you order.

SDH

SDH offers personalized sizing and closures on its Italian-woven linens, confirmed on a signed order sheet before production. Standard fitted sheets have a 13.5 inch pocket, the Supreme line has a 17 inch pocket, and a Dual King fitted sheet is standard. SDH lists its dimensions after washing. Special orders typically take 6 to 8 weeks.

Legna

Legna is SDH's wood-fiber line, woven in Italy. Ask us about custom sizing and we'll confirm what's possible with SDH.

Kumi Kookoon

Custom sizes are available by quote on silk fitted sheets, velvet duvet covers, and quilted silk shams and coverlets. Because silk can shrink up to 5 percent, the factory adds that allowance to your measurements. Standard fitted sheets have an 18 inch pocket. Allow 6 to 12 weeks.

Ann Gish

Ann Gish quotes custom sizes for anything it doesn't stock, and for mattresses deeper than 17 inches, across most of its fabrics. The Art of Home and Ready-to-Bed collections aren't available in custom sizes, and Ready-to-Bed 2.0 can be made smaller but not larger. For split kings, Twin XL fitted sheets are standard. Custom Ann Gish takes 6 to 8 weeks and is final sale.

Home Treasures

Nearly everything Home Treasures makes is sewn to order in Houston, Texas, so sizes can be customized across most of the line. Fitted sheets have a 17 inch pocket as standard and can be made deeper or shallower, and most fabrics are woven 120 inches wide for wider sheets. Embroidered collections, finished by partners in Italy, have more limited options.

Leitner

Leitner makes its linens in Austria, and its fitted sheets are made to order for your mattress height. Custom sizes are available on sheets, duvet covers and pillowcases in cotton, half-linen and pure linen. Leitner works in centimeters, and we'll handle the conversion.

Signoria Firenze

Made in Italy. Signoria's bespoke program makes custom sizes in its sateen and percale qualities, including Nuvola, with a choice of knife edge, flange, hemstitch or plain hems, plus tailor-made down duvets and pillows. Standard fitted sheets have a 17 inch pocket.

Traditions Linens

Made by hand in Upstate New York, with sheeting sewn in Portugal. Fitted sheets come with an 18 inch pocket and can be sized to fit nearly any mattress, and duvet covers, shams and pillowcases can be made in sizes Traditions doesn't list. Dust ruffles are made by quote. Made-to-order pieces ship in about 4 to 6 weeks and are final sale.

Frette

Frette offers alteration and made-to-measure services for uncommon bed sizes through its bespoke team. For fitted sheets, Frette typically adds about 5 inches to your mattress depth.

Society Limonta

Society Limonta makes custom-sized fitted sheets to fit any mattress, including non-standard dimensions and heights.

Bella Notte

Dyed to order in Northern California since 1996. Full size fitted sheets and extra-deep pockets are available by request on select styles, and the standard pocket is 15 inches. Bella Notte pieces ship in about 3 to 6 weeks.

Scandia Home

Bespoke comforters, pillows and featherbeds, hand-tailored in Wisconsin. Custom items can't be returned.

HEFEL

Made in Austria. HEFEL duvets, pillows and mattress toppers are available in almost any special size, and we've quoted custom mattress pads for Wyoming King beds.

Amalia Home Collection

Made in Portugal. Ask us about custom sizing.

DEA

Made in Italy. Ask us about custom sizing.

How custom size bedding works

1. Choose your piece.

On eligible product pages, select Request Custom Size. For any other piece, email hello@linensociety.com or visit one of our stores.

2. Share your measurements.

Enter the width, length and depth in inches, or pick a preset such as Wyoming or Alaska King. The form takes about two minutes.

3. We request your quote.

We reply within 1 to 3 business days. Most makers return pricing and a production timeline within one to two weeks.

4. Approve, and we place the order.

Some makers, including Sferra and SDH, need a signed order confirmation before production begins. Your piece is then made to order and ships when it's finished.

How to measure your mattress for custom bedding

Accurate measurements are the difference between a sheet that fits beautifully and one that doesn't. Before you request a quote:

  • Measure the mattress only, not the frame, headboard or surround.
  • Measure width, length and depth, including any permanent pillow-top.
  • Include toppers that stay on year-round. Measure the full stack.
  • Give us the actual measurements. The maker adds its own allowances for tucking and shrinkage. Frette, for example, adds about 5 inches to fitted sheet depth, and Kumi Kookoon adds up to 5 percent for silk.
  • For duvet covers, measure the duvet insert, not the mattress.
  • For a split-top king, measure where the split starts.
  • Measure twice. Half an inch matters on a fitted sheet.
  • When in doubt, ask. Email hello@linensociety.com and we'll help you measure.

Frequently asked questions

What is custom size bedding?
Custom size bedding is sheets, duvet covers, coverlets and, from some makers, duvets and pillows, made to your exact measurements instead of a standard Twin, Queen, King or California King size.
Where can I order custom size bedding?
Linen Society takes custom orders from makers including Sferra, Matouk, St. Geneve, Ann Gish, Home Treasures, Celso de Lemos, SDH, Leitner and Kumi Kookoon. Use the Request Custom Size button on an eligible product page, email hello@linensociety.com, or visit one of our stores.
How much does custom size bedding cost?
Custom pieces are quoted individually by the maker, based on the fabric, the dimensions and the construction, so there is no standard price. Requesting a quote is free, and you'll see the exact price before you commit.
How long does custom size bedding take?
Most custom bedding takes 3 to 14 weeks to make, depending on the maker: about 3 to 6 weeks for Bella Notte, 4 to 6 for Traditions Linens, 6 to 8 for Ann Gish and SDH, 6 to 12 for Kumi Kookoon, and 8 to 14 for Sferra. We confirm the timeline with your quote.
What sizes are bigger than a California King?
Wyoming King (84 x 84 inches), Texas King (80 x 98 inches), Alaska King (108 x 108 inches) and Family King beds (108 to 144 x 80 inches) are all larger than a California King (72 x 84 inches).
Can you make sheets for a Wyoming King, Alaska King or other oversized bed?
Yes. Several of our makers produce oversized sheets and duvet covers, and we've recently quoted Wyoming King fitted sheets from Sferra and a Family King set from Matouk. Very wide flat sheets and duvet covers may need a seam, which we'll show you with the quote.
Can you make bedding for a smaller or antique bed?
Yes. Custom sizing works in both directions, including three-quarter beds, RV and short queen mattresses, and bunks. Share your measurements and we'll quote the closest match.
Do you have fitted sheets for a split king or adjustable bed?
For a split king made of two Twin XL mattresses, Matouk and Ann Gish offer Twin XL fitted sheets as standard and SDH makes a Dual King. For a king with a split at the head, St. Geneve can make a custom split-top fitted sheet.
What if my mattress is extra deep?
Most luxury fitted sheets have a 13.5 to 18 inch pocket. Makers including Sferra, Matouk, St. Geneve, Home Treasures, Ann Gish, Traditions Linens and Bella Notte can sew a deeper pocket to order. Measure from the top of the mattress, including any pillow-top or topper, to the bottom.
Do you offer custom duvets, comforters or pillows?
Yes. St. Geneve makes custom-size down duvets, Matouk makes custom comforters and mattress pads, Scandia Home makes bespoke comforters, pillows and featherbeds, HEFEL offers special sizes, and Signoria Firenze makes tailor-made duvets and pillows.
Can I return a custom size order?
Custom and made-to-order pieces are final sale and can't be canceled, returned or exchanged after 1 business day, except for a verified manufacturer's defect. We confirm every detail with you before production begins.
