MADE TO MEASURE

Custom Size Bedding

Sheets, duvet covers, and coverlets crafted to fit Wyoming King, Alaska King, antique, and non-standard beds — from eleven of the world's finest linen houses.

Not every bed comes in a catalog size, and the bedding that dresses it shouldn't either. The Linen Society offers custom size bedding — made-to-measure flat sheets, fitted sheets, duvet covers, coverlets, and quilts — crafted to your exact mattress dimensions by the same ateliers that produce our standard collections. Whether you sleep on a Wyoming King, an Alaska King, a deep European topper, or an antique bed built long before modern sizing existed, we'll tailor a piece to fit beautifully.

Non-standard bed sizes we fit

Custom size bedding is essential if your mattress falls outside the standard King, Queen, Full, or Twin range. These are the most common oversized and non-standard beds we dress:

Size Dimensions Also known as
Wyoming King 84" × 84" Perfect square king
Texas King 80" × 98" Long king
Alaska King 108" × 108" The largest common oversized king
Family King 108" × 80" Co-sleeping king
Euro King 63" × 79" Common in European bedrooms
Custom / antique Your measurements Any dimension, any depth

We also accommodate extra-deep mattresses (pillow-tops, memory foam builds, mattress-plus-topper combinations) that exceed the 17"–20" maximum depth of most off-the-shelf fitted sheets.

How custom size bedding works

Three steps from your measurements to a finished piece:

1. Choose your piece.

Visit any eligible product page. If the brand offers made-to-measure sizing, you'll see a Request Custom Size button beside the standard sizes.

2. Share your mattress dimensions.

Enter your width, length, and depth — in inches — or pick a preset if your bed matches a common non-standard size. Our form takes less than two minutes.

3. We'll return with a tailored quote.

Within one to three business days, our team confirms exact pricing and the atelier's production timeline. Once you approve, the piece is cut and sewn specifically for you.

How to measure your mattress for custom bedding

Accurate measurements are the difference between a sheet that fits beautifully and one that doesn't. Before you submit a custom size request:

  • Measure the mattress only — not the bed frame, headboard, or surround.
  • Measure all three dimensions in inches: width (short edge), length (long edge), and depth (top surface to bottom surface, including any permanent pillow-top).
  • Include toppers you use year-round. If a wool or down topper lives on your bed permanently, measure the full stack.
  • Measure twice. A half-inch matters on a fitted sheet.
  • When in doubt, ask. Email hello@linensociety.com — we'd rather help you measure than guess.

Frequently asked questions

What is custom size bedding?
Custom size bedding is made-to-measure sheets, duvet covers, coverlets, and quilts cut and sewn to your exact mattress dimensions, rather than a standard King, Queen, Full, or Twin size.
What sizes are bigger than a California King?
Wyoming King (84" × 84"), Texas King (80" × 98"), Family King (108" × 80"), and Alaska King (108" × 108") are all larger than a standard California King (72" × 84"). Alaska King is the largest common oversized bed.
Can you make sheets for an Alaska King bed?
Yes. Most of our heritage brands — including Sferra, Matouk, and Celso de Lemos — will produce flat sheets, fitted sheets, pillowcases, and duvet covers in Alaska King (108" × 108") dimensions.
How long does custom size bedding take to make?
Typical production is 6 to 12 weeks, depending on the brand and the piece. We'll confirm the exact timeline when we send your quote.
How much does custom size bedding cost?
Custom pieces are individually priced based on the fabric, the size, and the hand-finishing involved. As a general guide, expect a premium of 15–40% over the closest standard size, though this varies considerably by maker.
Can I return a custom size order?
Custom orders are final sale, as each piece is cut and sewn specifically for your measurements. We'll work carefully with you upfront to make sure every detail is right before production begins.
Do you offer custom duvet inserts or mattress toppers?
St. Geneve produces custom duvet inserts, mattress toppers, and mattress pads in addition to made-to-measure bedding. Other brands in our collection focus on sheets and covers only.
What if my mattress is an unusual depth?
We can accommodate any depth. Measure from the top of the mattress (including any permanent pillow-top or topper) to the bottom, and we'll size the fitted sheet's gusset accordingly.
